About the role:
The Digital Content & SEO Team is responsible for maximising traffic to our websites by ensuring consistently high visibility of our brands within organic seach channels. This can involve maintaining visibility for already high performing pages, or growing visibility for pages where there is opportunity to do so.
Their ultimate goal is to contribute to website visits and digital sales by ensuring that digital content is optimised for search.
Reporting to the Digital Content & SEO Manager, and working with the SEO Lead, the SEO Specialist will assist in executing the SEO growth strategy. They will also take an active role in communicating that strategy to other stakeholders within the business.
More specifically, you will:
- Regularly monitor and report on website share of voice (SOV) and traffic performance.
- Collaborate with Content Producers to ensure that written content is optimised for search visibility, considering factors such as heading structure and keyword frequency.
- Make and execute recommendations relating to general website health.
- Understand broad business strategy and priorities. Use that understanding to inform prioritisation and execution of SEO tasks.
- Identify and mitigate risks to existing traffic and engagement.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in an eCommerce-related discipline is desirable.
- 2-3 years’ experience in SEO and/or a related discipline.
- Experience within insurance/financial services is desirable.
Key Capabilities:
- Experience with conducting SEO experiments to test theories.
- Proven ability to drive buy-in with stakeholders for recommendations through sharing SEO best practices and supporting with quantifiable data.
- Agile planning experience and ability to effectively use JIRA to manage workflow.
- Inquisitive mindset and willingness to learn and try new things.
