Software Test Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our Insurance & Enterprise Technology team where you'll drive the delivery of automated testing frameworks and ensure end-to-end test quality across the software development lifecycle. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to embed best practices, provide technical guidance, and support high-quality outcomes through effective testing strategies.

What you'll do

• Lead and execute testing strategies, process improvements, and standards to ensure quality outcomes across the delivery lifecycle
• Deliver both automated and manual tests to meet delivery milestones, ensuring testing is effectively embedded within Agile practices
• Design, develop, and implement frameworks that build quality, automation, and security
• Support the creation, maintenance, and reuse of test artefacts (e.g., test cases, plans, scripts, and documentation)
• Ensure the relevant levels and types of testing (e.g., functional, integration, performance, security) are planned and executed

What you'll bring 

• 5+ years' experience in a Software Test Engineer or similar QA role
• Experience with digital applications; Guidewire/ClaimCenter a plus
• Skilled in Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Python or similar scripting languages
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
• Familiar with high-availability systems and Agile/Lean methodologies
