Suncorp Graduate Program 2026 - Underwriting 

Build your career at the heart of Suncorp’s commercial insurance business.  As an Underwriting Graduate, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a relationship-driven role that blends analytical thinking with a customer focus. 

  • Applications close: Tuesday 26 August 2025 
  • Program Commences: Wednesday 28 January 2026 
  • Employment Type: Permanent full-time 
  • Minimum Starting Salary: $79,500 including super 
  • Locations: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth 

About the Program 

Over two years, you’ll complete six-monthly rotations within our Commercial & Personal Injury Insurance team, gaining hands-on experience across the full underwriting lifecycle. Rotations are structured to support you to: 

  • Master underwriting: assess, price, and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance products. 
  • Build trusted relationships: work with brokers and clients to negotiate and deliver tailored solutions. 
  • See the bigger picture: gain exposure to claims, legal, and other teams to understand the entire insurance value chain. 
  • Grow your commercial acumen: manage real-world portfolios, analyse risks, and contribute to strategic decisions. 
  • Collaborate across Suncorp: connect with experts to create smarter, customer-focused risk solutions. 

Who can apply? 

  • Full working rights in Australia  
  • Studying or have studied at an Australian or New Zealand university  
  • Completed a minimum of bachelor's degree within the last two years (2023, 2024 or 2025), or will complete prior to the program commencing  
  • Minimum ‘pass’ grade  

Preferred Degrees: Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering (or related disciplines)
