About the role
The Actuary/Senior Actuarial Advisor plays a critical role within the Model Activate & Analytics team, part of the broader Pricing & Analytics Department. This position is responsible for leveraging advanced actuarial techniques and a deep understanding of the pricing ecosystem to design, recommend, and implement effective pricing solutions. The role is instrumental in supporting the business by ensuring that pricing outcomes align to customer and business expectations, primarily focusing on Mass Market Home and Motor business, with additional support for other products as required.
What you'll do
- Develop and refine pricing strategies to achieve customer and business outcomes
- Monitor pricing outcomes and implement suitable responses
- Prepare pricing papers and presentations for diverse audiences
- Identify and introduce new pricing approaches to improve outcomes
- Inform strategy by analysing current pricing and emerging trends through data, models, and dashboards
- Collaborate with pricing, tech, and business teams to enhance pricing systems and methods
What you'll bring
- Minimum 5 years' experience in actuarial, analytics, or predictive modelling roles
- Advanced skills in data science, statistical and predictive modelling
- Proven ability to independently conduct statistical analysis and research
- Proficient in R, SAS, and Python; SQL or other programming languages desirable
- Background in Financial Services, ideally General Insurance is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field (required)
