As a Natural Hazard & Reinsurance Modelling Senior Analyst, you’ll contribute to the financial resilience of Suncorp by supporting the development and delivery of modelling processes across natural hazards and reinsurance. You’ll work within the Capital & Investments team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful outputs. This role offers a strong foundation for career progression and technical development.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in developing and maintaining modelling processes for natural hazard budgeting and reinsurance optimisation
- Prepare, validate, and manage data used in natural hazard and reinsurance modelling
- Support the delivery of technical outputs to internal stakeholders within agreed timeframes
- Contribute to the automation and improvement of analytical workflows
- Collaborate with external consultants and brokers on data delivery and modelling inputs
- Build effective relationships with internal teams to understand and support business needs
- Actively contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Experience in general insurance or financial services preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, SAS, or similar tools
- Familiarity with Python or other programming languages desirable
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow
