About the role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to support the development and uplift of Suncorp’s Identity Platform. You’ll contribute to secure authentication services that enable seamless access across our digital channels. This is a backend-focused role with exposure to cloud, DevOps, and enterprise identity tools.
This role is paying between $100,000-110,000 including super.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain backend APIs using Java and Spring Boot to support secure identity services.
- Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift (Kubernetes), ensuring resilience and compliance.
- Automate infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible for efficient delivery.
- Integrate cloud-native applications with AWS services like S3, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to uplift platform performance, security, and observability.
- Support enterprise identity solutions using Ping Identity and ForgeRock, contributing to platform stability.
What you'll bring
- 2+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering, ideally in Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Security, and Hibernate.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), scripting (Python, Groovy, Shell), and SQL/Oracle databases.
- Exposure to container orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Understanding of identity protocols (OAuth2, JWT) and secure coding practices.
- Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues independently and collaboratively.
