As a Governance Advisor, you’ll contribute to the operational delivery of Executive and Board Governance activities, supporting key regulatory regimes including FAR and Fit & Proper.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant obligations and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Deliver governance and coordination activities in BAU and / or adhoc projects to support FAR and Fit & Proper obligations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and advice to Accountable and Responsible Persons, supporting onboarding, training, and regulatory lodgements.
- Maintain and update Accountability Statements, Maps, and Registers, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, People & Culture, and other teams to gather insights, conduct thematic reviews, and drive governance maturity.
- Facilitate forums, training sessions, and prepare committee papers to support executive governance initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and incorporating industry learnings into governance practices.
What you'll bring
- Experience in governance, legal, risk, or compliance roles, with knowledge of FAR, BEAR, or Fit & Proper regimes.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Effective time management skills, ability to deliver work within tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment with precision and minimal supervision.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams.
