As Platform Product Owner – Data Protection, you’ll define and deliver the strategy for enterprise backup and recovery across cloud and hybrid environments. You’ll work hands-on with engineering, security, and cloud teams to ensure our platforms are resilient, secure, and easy to consume.
What You’ll Do
- Define and evolve the strategic direction for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery across enterprise platforms
- Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing innovation, compliance, and lifecycle upgrades
- Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams to automate backup workflows and recovery procedures
- Lead recovery drills and ensure platform services meet RPO/RTO targets and resilience standards
- Partner with stakeholders to identify protection gaps and communicate service updates clearly
- Align data protection policies with governance frameworks and support zero-trust recovery configurations
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience managing cloud platforms and enterprise-scale backup solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to align priorities and communicate risks effectively
- Hands-on technical expertise with tools like Commvault and native cloud backup platforms
- Ability to lead recovery scenarios and automate infrastructure using scripting or infrastructure-as-code
- Passion for continuous improvement and mentoring others in data protection best practices
- Proficiency in impact reporting and using data visualisation to communicate platform effectiveness
