About the Role

As Risk Manager, you’ll act as a subject matter expert, providing oversight, insights, and strategic direction across corporate teams and enterprise programs. You’ll partner with stakeholders to uplift risk practices, ensure alignment with frameworks, and support the delivery of enterprise risk initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain an annual Oversight Plan using prioritisation tools to guide focus areas
  • Execute oversight activities across four levels of intensity to assess risk effectiveness
  • Report outcomes to leadership and governance bodies, driving consistency and insights
  • Provide independent advice and challenge across enterprise-wide matters and transitions
  • Build strong relationships with first line leaders to support risk capability uplift
  • Support the Risk & Advocacy function in managing FAR responsibilities
  • Represent the Risk team across initiatives and contribute to community knowledge sharing
  • Coordinate business continuity activities to ensure readiness and resilience

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years’ experience in insurance or banking (mandatory)
  • 4+ years in a 1st or 2nd line risk advisory or management role (desired)
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Experience influencing change and driving continuous improvement
  • Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset
