The Suncorp NZ team currently has an opportunity available for an Intermediary Conduct Lead, and we’re looking for an experienced and passionate professional who is committed to driving best practice conduct and professional standards across our intermediary network. In this role, you’ll support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of intermediary conduct frameworks, policies and controls to ensure fair outcomes for our customers and partners. What You’ll Do

• Manage the Vero Intermediary Conduct Register
• Chair the Vero Intermediary Conduct Committee, ensuring regular meetings are held, actions completed and issues resolved
• Document conduct issues and initiatives for leadership teams and relevant forums
• Provide regular reporting on conduct programs, monitor progress against milestones and take action to ensure timely delivery
• Own and maintain the Vero Intermediary Conduct Framework, ensuring it remains current with internal and external requirements
• Support and promote the development of professional frameworks to improve broker and partner conduct and standards
• Engage and influence Leaders to ensure awareness and readiness for regulatory and conduct changes
• Develop and deliver plans in response to regulatory and conduct requirements
• Ensure good customer outcomes through delivery of best practice conduct and professional standards
• Oversee broker and partner conduct controls, compliance practices and adherence to regulation
• Identify training needs for intermediaries and internal stakeholders and deliver effective training solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address conduct and professional standards gaps
• Build and maintain strong relationships across Business, Consumer, Risk and Legal teams, as well as with brokers and industry partners

 

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant General Insurance industry experience (minimum 5 years)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of insurance sales and operations practices
• Experience in conduct, compliance or risk (desired)
• Degree in Commerce or Business (desired)
• ANZIF qualification (desired)
• Commitment to delivering good customer outcomes and high-quality solutions within required timeframes
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills
• Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing capabilities
• Confident decision-making, critical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective change
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of relevant industry legislation and general insurance market dynamics
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and seniority levels
• Technical proficiency and ability to quickly grasp new systems and processes
