About the Role
As Head of Consumer Insurance Risk, you’ll provide strategic leadership to uplift risk maturity and embed robust frameworks across the division. You’ll influence decision-making at all levels, deliver actionable insights, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations while fostering a high-performance culture.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute the Consumer Insurance Risk Strategy, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Lead initiatives to uplift risk capability and maturity, embedding consistent practices across the division
- Provide expert advice on governance, frameworks, and risk appetite to strengthen decision-making
- Deliver insights from internal and external data to inform strategic decisions and improve resilience
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate risk insights into operational and strategic priorities
- Inspire and develop risk teams, building capability through coaching and targeted development programs
- Maintain regulator engagement through proactive communication, risk-based approaches and transparency
- Regularly evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls to ensue they effectively mitigate risks
