About the Function
We’re evolving our People Home & Operations team and are looking for People Officers to deliver practical, people-focused HR services.
These roles sit within our People, Legal and Corporate Services function, supporting employees and leaders across the entire employee lifecycle. They’re ideal for candidates with experience in customer service, administration, or HR support—or for those studying HR or Business and looking to start a career in HR.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern HR systems, work across multiple People teams, and help enhance the employee experience through excellent service and continuous improvement.

- HR Help Desk (4 roles available)
The HR Help Desk is the first point of contact for employee and leader HR queries and plays a key role in building digital self-service capability.
You will:
- Respond to employee and leader queries across HR processes
- Take ownership of queries with a focus on first-point resolution
- Escalate complex matters to specialist People teams when required
- Educate employees and leaders on HR tools, systems and processes
- Assist with triage and workflow allocation
- Identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
This role suits someone who enjoys customer interaction, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- People Operations (1 role available)
People Operations supports core HR activities across the employee lifecycle and delivers key HR cyclical programs.
You will:
- Support core HR processes from hire to retire
- Assist with HR cyclical programs including performance, talent, and reward reviews
- Process HR updates and changes in the Human Capital Management system
- Respond to escalated queries from the HR Help Desk
- Champion self-service by building employee and leader capability
- Analyse data to ensure accurate guidance and outcomes
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, data accuracy, and end-to-end HR processes.
- Payroll & Time (1 role available)
The Payroll & Time team supports accurate and timely pay outcomes for employees across Australia and New Zealand.
You will:
- Analyse and resolve payroll, timesheet, and work schedule discrepancies
- Support payroll and time operational processes with accuracy and confidence
- Respond to escalated payroll and time queries
- Partner with leaders and employees to prevent pay-impacting issues
- Use data insights to identify trends and support education initiatives
- Collaborate with People teams and managed service providers
This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with payroll or time-related data.
What you’ll bring
- 1–3 years’ experience in a customer-centric, administrative, or HR support role
- Payroll & Time Role Only: Experience with payroll, finance, accounting, or data-focused administrative work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Confidence working with digital platforms and systems
- Ability to interpret data and provide accurate, practical guidance
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a strong focus on quality and service
Highly regarded (role dependent):
- Experience in an HR Help Desk or HR operations environment
- Exposure to payroll, time and attendance, finance, or scheduling processes
- Knowledge of Australian and/or New Zealand HR or payroll practices
- Intermediate Excel skills (Payroll & Time role)
