Senior Digital Product Owner – Commercial & Personal Injury

About the Role

Are you passionate about digital transformation and customer experience? Suncorp is seeking a Senior Digital Product Owner to join our Commercial and Personal Injury (C&PI) team for a 12-month fixed term contract. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

As a Senior Digital Product Owner, you will drive the delivery of key business initiatives across our C&PI sales applications. You’ll be accountable for enhancing digital assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimising customer experiences within our Insurance business. Your leadership will be instrumental in a major Commercial Sales application upgrade project, with opportunities to lead other digital sales projects throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead squad and technology teams in the Commercial replatforming project to upgrade sales applications.
  • Plan and deliver projects/initiatives, ensuring continuous optimisation of the digital customer experience.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance within C&PI sales funnels.
  • Develop and deliver the digital experience program of work and roadmap to meet business targets.
  • Oversee successful delivery and implementation of solutions, including acceptance criteria, testing, and release activities.
  • Maximise squad value, enabling effective, high-value solutions.
  • Gather, analyse, and refine requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and project teams.
  • Represent the business in technology, enhancement, and defect prioritisation.
  • Maintain oversight of a portfolio of initiatives and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, customers, and squads to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Collaborate with Digital Customer leadership and other Product Owners to maximise efficiency and value.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, placing their needs at the heart of decisions.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and blockers, promoting strong risk maturity and awareness.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Technology or Commerce/Marketing (desired)
  • Product Owner Certification (desired)
  • Minimum 8 years in insurance and/or financial services
  • Minimum 4 years in the Digital Domain (Design/UX, Conversion, digital best practices)
  • Minimum 4 years in Customer experience management
  • Minimum 4 years working with Technology delivery teams, asset management, APIs
  • Minimum 4 years project delivery experience

  • Advanced data literacy and analytical skills

  • Adaptability to fast-paced, continuously changing environments
