We are seeking an experienced insurance professional to lead, develop, and maintain our Consumer insurance portfolio. In this role, you will lead the Contents portfolio while supporting our Home and Motor Portfolio Managers to design customer-valued products and solutions that deliver strong performance, profitability, and sustainable returns. You will also play a key role in shaping strategy, driving digital initiatives, and mentoring high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage portfolio and segment budgets within approved parameters.
- Embed a strong performance and risk management culture across the portfolio.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to enhance capability and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain innovative products and solutions that meet customer needs.
- Lead project-related delivery, particularly in digital strategy implementation.
- Provide expert business advice and insights to stakeholders.
About You:
- Extensive experience in the NZ and/or global insurance or financial services market, ideally within personal or commercial insurance.
- Demonstrated experience with insurance systems, processes, and portfolio management.
- Strong project management, change management, and digital strategy experience.
- Exemplary customer focus with excellent interpersonal, consultation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
