This is an exciting opportunity to lead end‑to‑end delivery of strategic initiatives that enhance our operational readiness, integrate cutting‑edge geospatial and AI technologies, and uplift capability across our Home Claims Customer portfolio.

If you thrive in a dynamic, purpose‑driven environment and enjoy delivering meaningful outcomes for customers, our teams, and the community, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

As the SCC Lead, you will be accountable for the planning, execution, and governance of the Suncorp Control Centre program. You’ll collaborate closely with disaster management specialists, technology partners, and senior stakeholders to design and deliver initiatives that strengthen Suncorp’s event readiness and response capability.

You will lead the delivery of complex initiatives—often involving geospatial and AI vendors—while maintaining stakeholder confidence, providing expert delivery advice, and ensuring seamless execution across the project lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of SCC initiatives from planning through to closure, ensuring alignment to internal governance and project frameworks.
  • Drive delivery of solutions using a range of project methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMBOK).
  • Partner with geospatial and AI vendors to enhance customer outcomes and disaster response capabilities.
  • Maintain momentum on continuous improvement activities—even during live disaster events.
  • Develop and maintain detailed roadmaps, flight plans, and reporting dashboards.
  • Track customer and financial benefits in line with an established benefits framework.
  • Proactively manage project risks, dependencies, and blockers.
  • Integrate change management practices into initiative delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including vendor partners, internal teams, and external agencies.

About You:

Qualifications (Desired)

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, Technology, or a related discipline
  • Project Management qualification or certification

Experience

  • 3+ years delivering projects in the Financial Services sector
  • Proven experience managing large corporate projects
  • Strong capability across multiple project methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile)
  • Ability to lead and influence within a sponsorship model
  • Experience managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

Capabilities & Skills

  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills across competing deliverables
  • Ability to synthesise complex information and vendor insights
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical capability
  • Skilled communicator able to influence at all levels
  • Experience negotiating with diverse stakeholders, including technology vendors
  • Sound risk management understanding and reporting capability
  • Leadership skills with an ability to coach and guide others

What we can offer you:

  • Discounts and offers on a range of insurance products
  • A range of flexible working and leave options
  • Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs.
  • Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave.
