Experienced Workers Compensation Claims Advisors wanted – complex and long-tail claims focus
Join Suncorp Group in Newcastle and play a key role supporting injured workers through the ongoing management and resolution of complex Workers Compensation claims.
We are currently seeking experienced Workers Compensation Claims Advisors to join our Tail Claims team within Personal Injury. These roles focus on managing long-duration and complex claims, working closely with injured workers, employers, medical professionals, and legal representatives to support recovery outcomes and progress claims towards sustainable resolution.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong Workers Compensation experience and enjoys navigating complex claims, legislation, and stakeholder engagement in a thoughtful and strategic way.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of long-tail Workers Compensation claims
- Developing and implementing strategic claim management plans for complex cases
- Reviewing and interpreting medical, rehabilitation, and legal information
- Working closely with injured workers, employers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, and legal representatives
- Identifying opportunities to progress claims toward sustainable outcomes or resolution
- Ensuring all decisions are made in line with Workers Compensation legislation, policy, and best practice
- Delivering empathetic and professional service while balancing stakeholder needs and claim outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing Workers Compensation claims
- Strong understanding of claims management processes and legislation
- Experience managing complex or longer-duration claims is highly valued
(e.g. Claims Advisor, Case Manager, Claims Officer, Injury Management Advisor)
Highly Regarded
- Experience within an insurer, scheme agent, or third-party administrator
- Exposure to complex claims, disputes, or litigation
- Backgrounds in insurance claims, injury management, rehabilitation, psychology, or allied health

- Ability to navigate complex information and competing priorities
