Suncorp New Zealand is looking for an outstanding Internal Communications Manager to lead how we communicate with people across the organisation - connecting them to our strategy, our customers and each other.
You’ll work directly with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to shape executive communication, bring change to life, and engage our teams around Suncorp’s future.
This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll be as comfortable developing the internal communications plan as rolling up your sleeves to create the content that brings it to life. You’ll introduce new thinking, tools and approaches that modernise how internal communication works at Suncorp.
What you’ll do
- Lead the development and delivery of Suncorp New Zealand’s internal communications programme
- Drive leadership communication for the CEO and senior leaders.
- Turn business change into clear, compelling stories that connect with people.
- Own and optimise our internal channels and events.
- Modernise how the function operates, embedding the latest tools and technologies.
What you’ll bring
- 5–10+ years in corporate communications, with specific internal communications expertise.
- A track record of advising senior leaders.
- Excellent storytelling and editorial skills.
- Proven ability to lead communication through change or transformation.
- A proactive approach to using AI to improve how communication is created, delivered and measured.
- People leadership experience, with the ability to develop and manage a small team.
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.
- Background in financial services or insurance is a plus.
