About the Role
This role supports the Financial Control team to ensure accurate, well‑governed financial outcomes across the general ledger. You will work closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver month‑end processes, strengthen controls, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role offers exposure to enterprise‑scale systems, reporting requirements, and business transformation activity.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review month‑end journals and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with governance standards
- Support financial control processes that protect the integrity of the general ledger and meet statutory, regulatory, and management reporting requirements
- Work with finance and business teams to deliver month‑end outcomes and resolve reconciliation or control issues as they arise
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including standardisation, automation, and process simplification
- Maintain clear documentation, support audit activities, and provide reporting updates to finance leaders as required
What You’ll Bring
- A recognised degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline, with professional accreditation (CA or CPA) in progress or planned
- Experience in financial accounting or reporting roles within medium to large organisations, using enterprise finance systems
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau) (desirable, but not essential)
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) or a similar reconciliation tool, applied in a month‑end environment
- Strong technical accounting capability, with attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality financial outcomes
- Ability to build effective relationships with finance and business stakeholders, supporting clear communication and timely delivery
