About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Risk Analytics Manager to play a critical role in delivering data driven insights that support the Risk & Compliance Oversight Plan. This role leads the Risk Analytics Program of Work, shaping how analytics are designed, prioritised and delivered to address enterprise risk priorities, regulatory expectations and emerging risk themes.
You’ll lead a team of analytics professionals, partner closely with Second Line Risk teams, and influence senior leaders through high quality, evidence-based insights.
What you'll do
- Own and deliver the Risk Analytics Program of Work, ensuring alignment to 2LoD oversight priorities and enterprise risk themes.
- Build strong working relationships across the Risk community to proactively understand analytics needs.
- Provide regular progress updates to the EM Reporting, Data & Analytics.
- Contribute to the development of the Risk & Advocacy strategy, ensuring analytics initiatives are clearly defined and achievable.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on insight, value and impact.
- Lead, coach and develop high performing hybrid and virtual analytics teams, with a strong focus on capability uplift and wellbeing.
- Set technical standards and provide quality assurance oversight across analytics deliverables, including methodology and data governance.
- Collaborate with Reporting, Data & Analytics and Risk Systems stakeholders to embed analytics into BAU reporting, systems and tools.
- Uplift analytics capability across the broader Risk & Advocacy community through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
What you'll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline (STEM, Risk or Compliance) – desirable.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in analytics and insights roles.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience leading analytics delivery and managing analytics resources.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (highly desirable).
- Strong end to end analytics experience, from solution design to delivery and communication of insights.
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior leaders using analytics to drive changes in oversight approaches.
- SQL coding for analytics and general understanding of using AI to support analytics work – mandatory.
- Python for analytics and strong understanding of database structures across financial and operational systems – desirable.
