As a Banking Consultant, you'll be part of an innovative hybrid work culture that emphasizes a 50-50 balance between in-office presence and remote work. Once training is complete and you settle into the role, you'll enjoy a rhythm of in-office and remote work that brings out the best in you.

Your canvas will be the inbound contact center, where you'll not only meet customer needs but exceed their expectations with every interaction.

Position Overview:

  • Job Title: Banking Consultant
  • Location: Heritage Lanes offices in Brisbane CBD
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid role with 50% office attendance and 50% remote work – after you have completed your 7 weeks of full-time training
  • Shift Patterns: Mix Part-time roles available 
  • Start Date: Monday 3rd June & Monday 24th June
  • Training: 7 weeks of full-time paid training (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm) before transitioning to the regular shift pattern
  • Training Format: Combination of classroom and on-the-job training, including high support training
  • Training Location: Onsite at Heritage Lanes office
  • Holiday Restrictions: No holidays allowed during the 7-week training period

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by providing efficient solutions and responses to customer enquiries
  • Handle Everyday Banking enquiries, account openings, and processes via telephone and online channels.
  • Listen actively, build trust, and ask relevant questions to exceed customer expectations and improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to maintaining a balanced team culture that prioritises people, customers, risk, and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service with demonstrated experience in customer service roles.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and ability to navigate multiple systems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to listen, build rapport, and convey complex information effectively.
  • High level of resilience, empathy, and adaptability to handle various customer situations.
  • While previous call centre experience is desired, it is not necessary. Suncorp Bank is willing to provide training for candidates with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Commitment to self-development and eagerness to enhance skills and capabilities in the role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a supportive team member.

Shift Patterns:

June 3rd

  • Option 1    Mon - Fri    FT 37.5hr    Start Window 07:00-10:00
  • Option 2    Fri - Mon    PT 30hr    Start Window 07:00-10:00

June 24th

  • Option 3    Mon - Fri    PT 25hs    Start Window 14:00-17:00
  • Option 4    Mon - Fri    PT 25hs    Start Window 10:30-13:30

*‘Start window’ means you can be asked to start at any time between the hours shown. You must be able to fully commit to the shift shown.
