About the role:
This is a unique permanent opportunity for a Senior Technical BA with previous experience working on data migration projects. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between business and technology, working closely with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical requirements. You’ll support delivery teams through the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with key initiatives. The role requires strong stakeholder management, strong data modelling as well as familiarity with platforms like Databricks, Tableau, and Power BI.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 250 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.

What you’ll do:
- Assess/review data models, data mapping and data migration etc
- Work through IRTs to confirm requirements for CDP
- Run Discovery workshops to elicit detailed requirements from business and technical stakeholders
- Translate high level business requirements into technical requirements for delivery squad (platform/data engineers, solution architects)
- Support the squad through Delivery
- Create epics/stories in Jira per squad ways of working
- Support Delivery Manager with risk/compliance/procurement
- Map the technical requirements to the deliverables of other project squads.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.
What you’ll bring:
- ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4 years’ business analysis experience from a large organisation working on significant transformation programs
- Experience working on data-related projects e.g. data migration or decommissioning of data applications
- Familiarity with SQL, Tableau and Power BI is beneficial
- Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
