Overview of the role
This is a fantastic time to be joining Suncorp as the industry goes through significant change. A Senior Business Analyst is required to join our Digital Sales squad joining a team of BA's already assigned.
We are looking for strong Business Analysis skills with the ability to work autonomously and with a range of stakeholders and delivery teams to drive ideation, discovery and delivery requirements. The preferred candidate will have an Insurance background and experience with UX/Digital CX.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 250 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) and supporting the platform.

What you’ll do:
- Lead discovery and delivery requirements for assigned work within the program, co-ordinating across multiple streams
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
- Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 3 year’s Senior Business Analyst experience working on large multi-year programs
- Experience with Digital Sales/UX/CX
- Background in Insurance or financial services
- Minimum 3 years’ Agile including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference.
- Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
- Jira and confluence skills essential
