As a Risk & Compliance Advisor, your role will be to support our People, Legal & Corporate Services (PLCS) by implementing effective risk management and compliance practices. This position offers the opportunity to act as a key advisor, embedding a mature risk culture and partnering closely with the Suncorp Risk Community. If you have experience in operational risk and compliance and are passionate about risk awareness and governance, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to Suncorp’s success.

What You’ll Do

• Lead risk assessments, control testing, and incident reporting, ensuring adherence to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
• Provide expert advice on risk and compliance to functional leaders, influencing risk-based decision-making and supporting training initiatives
• Advise project teams on risk management processes, assisting with project risk assessments and frameworks
• Collaborate closely with PLCS leaders, the Suncorp Risk Community, and external partners to align risk practices with business objectives

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, or Risk are desired
• Proven experience in an operational risk advisory role, with a focus on compliance; consultancy experience in business operations is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Solid understanding of risk frameworks, compliance obligations, and risk management practices within the financial services sector
