We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Asteron Life Transition Program. In this pivotal role, you will support the Finance Manager by overseeing essential financial processes including month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. You will also play a key role in analysing financial information to inform critical decisions related to TSA and stranded costs. What you’ll do

  • Actively drive team and business priorities by collaborating effectively across teams, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring customer-centric solutions.
  • Clarify expectations and take ownership of resolving issues while maintaining high personal standards to deliver timely results in a dynamic environment.
  • Assist in month-end processes, including financial reporting, budget updates, and forecasting, ensuring data integrity and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Review and analyse financial data related to Transition Service Agreements (TSA) to ensure fair pricing, support invoicing processes, and prepare financial reports.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities within program finances, supporting standardization of reporting and driving innovation while adhering to Suncorp’s values and Code of Conduct.

What you’ll bring

 

  • Degree in Accounting, Business or finance
  • 3+ years’ experience within a financial services organisation
  • Experience with analysis and reporting with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven track record in managing relationships based on mutual trust and respect
  • Strong analytical capability (incl. data analysis) with background in business analysis, management reporting and / or decision support.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and business writing skills with experience in reporting to management audience.
