Overview of the role
This is a great opportunity for a current Suncorp procurement employee to gain exposure to a wide range of stakeholders from off-shore partners, category management teams, to senior procurement leaders giving you invaluable skills as you move up the career ladder.

You will drive delivery and improvement in Procurement operations through a Business Process Outsourcing partner (Genpact, India).
|
This position is responsible for the Offshore Category Management support team, offshore contract data management team and Quality Assurance, Reporting & offshore communications.
If you have experience with category management and contract management and are interested in driving operational excellence, then this could be the role for you!
What you’ll do:
- Monitor operational oversight of partner delivery of core procurement operations processes (i.e. Contract Administration, Category Support & Operational reporting).
- Monitor & improve partner performance through Governance and reporting frameworks; and drive partner focus on continuous improvement, process ownership and performance against SLA’s
- Manage non-standard process questions and customer escalations
- Design and maintain clear Procurement Operations documentation and controls including policies, procedures, process workflow documentation, templates, tracking and communications
- Maintain risk and compliance oversight to delivery of procurement policy and operations
- Partner with Procurement Category Management & Procurement Performance & Frameworks team to improve and deliver performance against Procurement Strategy.
- Oversee Partner on-boarding
What you’ll bring:
- Ideally 2+ years’ Suncorp procurement experience
- Demonstrate experience in understanding and extracting benefits out of value chains
- Experience across various procurement activities including vendor/category management and some experience in operations
- Experience working in and managing offshore procurement function(s) is beneficial

- Understand the impact of Supply Chain structures and cost drivers
- Highly developed customer focused approach with advanced analytical skills
- Adaptable and supportive of a fast changing, continuous improvement culture
- Strong oral and written communication skills to achieve work outcomes and maintain effective work and stakeholder relations
