We are looking for a System Support Officer to join our Insurance Operations team to provide a professional service and strive to achieve first call resolution for all queries from internal and external customers.
This is a 12-month secondment opportunity open to internal candidates only.
The objective of this role is to show you care and kick goals by providing a professional service and strive to achieve first call resolution for all queries from internal and external customers. To support systems used by all branded GI Policy & Claims.
The position will differentiate between Systems, Process & Training issues and communicate the impacts of system defects and where required, engage Technology & Data Labs (TDL) and facilitate the incident management process on behalf of the business.
What you’ll do
You will be accountable for:
- Frontline system support for the Policy and Claims stakeholders
- Responsible for taking inbound and making outbound calls
- Responding to customers via email and or ServiceNow
- Differentiating (triage) between System, Process and Training issues
- Impact assessments and Critical Incident Management (CIM) – identifying severity 1-4 incidents
- Sending communications regarding outages and incidents
- Supporting systems & processes
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, or IT related discipline would be beneficial
- Experience with general insurance products and services or claims experience is required
- Strong verbal and written skills including ability to communicate appropriately to specific audience
- Effective listening skills
- Strong customer service skills/experience
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Need for flexibility is required in times of major events eg, storms, flood etc
- Flexibility to work from home if eligible and managed by a rotational roster
