Lead strategic change as a Business Architect
We are seeking a Business Architect to lead enterprise-wide transformation and operational optimisation. You will translate strategy into actionable business design, shape future-state operating models, and guide initiatives that improve performance, consistency, and customer outcomes.
This is a business-centric architecture role, not an enterprise or solution architecture role focussed on technology delivery. It is about embedding business architecture practices across the organisation, to enable enterprise transformation through capability modelling, process design, and strategic alignment.
What you'll do
- Translate business strategy into target-state business designs and clear, actionable roadmaps
- Define and model departmental capabilities, value streams, processes, and information flows
- Maintain current and future-state business architectures and maturity assessments
- Advise on transformation initiatives such as digitisation and new product development to ensure strategic alignment
- Design future-state processes to lift performance, improve consistency, and enhance customer outcomes
- Evaluate business transformation initiatives and business cases for alignment with strategy and redelivery
- Ensure solutions align with design principles and deliver tangible business value
- Promote process governance and alignment with enterprise frameworks
- Collaborate with communities of practice (e.g. business analysts, data scientists) to embed business architecture practices across the enterprise
What you'll bring
- 5+ years’ experience in business architecture, business process design or enterprise transformation
- Strong critical thinking and systems thinking capabilities
- Business Architecture or related certifications (e.g. BIZBOK®, ACORD)
- Strong knowledge of insurance from a customer centric, value-driven perspective
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with Lean, Agile, and Design Thinking approaches
- Qualifications in Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or project/consulting (desirable)
This is a senior advisory role suited to professionals who thrive on strategic thinking, enterprise collaboration, and driving meaningful change. If you are ready to shape the future of business architecture and influence outcomes across the organisation, we would love to hear from you.
