Overview of the role
As Manager, Delivery Enablement you will be responsible for leading a team aligned to Suncorp’s delivery practice to achieve transformational ways of working, focused on improving the speed, efficiency and agility of our delivery practices. This role is not a delivery role; instead you will lead, manage, coach and resource the team of people who deliver the projects.
You will be responsible for your own portfolio consisting of a large number of direct reports both in Australia and New Zealand, so it is essential that you are adept at all aspects of people management, from recruiting, developing capability, performance management and problem solving. Ideally you will have experience as a Project Manager and stepped into a leadership role.

What you’ll do:
- Effectively manage up to 30 direct reports both in Australia and New Zealand
- Lead and develop the capability of others through effective coaching, mentoring, professional development and performance management
- Actively contribute to the capability uplift and development of a team of high performers
- Support delivery with appropriate scoping, sizing and resourcing/recruitment of delivery activities on projects (approx. 30% of the role).
- Lead compliance and associated HR administration
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ people management/leadership experience and a proven track record in leading high performing teams
- Previous experience working as a Project Manager (5-10+ years’)
- Experience with recruitment and managing resources including performance management, whilst building capability; exposure to HR processes is advantageous
- Experience building and influencing successful business relationships, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to hold tough conversations
- Experience with Agile, Lean and Waterfall methodology
- Systematic and disciplined approach to planning, organising, decision making and delegation
- Flexibility and resilience in responding to multiple changing priorities
- Skilled ability to work in a dynamic leadership team, contributing to the overall goals of the group
