As Technology & Data Risk Manager, you’ll provide expert oversight of technology, data, and AI-related risks, partnering with senior leaders to embed robust risk practices and drive strategic outcomes. You’ll play a key role in shaping Suncorp’s risk culture and governance across the Technology & Operations function.

What You’ll Do

• Provide second line oversight of technology and data risks, including AI and cyber security, ensuring effective identification, assessment, and mitigation
• Partner with business leaders to embed risk awareness into strategic and operational decision-making
• Deliver insights from internal and external data trends to inform risk appetite and governance
• Advise on the interpretation and implementation of risk frameworks, policies, and standards
• Represent the Risk Function on key initiatives, providing strategic and tactical guidance
• Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement across the Risk Function

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years’ experience in risk management, with deep expertise in technology, data, and AI risk
• Proven second line of defence experience and strong understanding of cyber security protocols
• ISACA CISM certification or equivalent (highly desired), plus relevant tertiary qualifications
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset
• Passion for innovation and emerging tech trends, with a proactive approach to risk leadership
