About the team
Credit Risk Reporting sits within the Credit Risk function and develops, produces, and provides insights across the Bank’s Credit Reporting requirements.
The role of the Central Data and Projects team is to manage the internal credit risk datasets required to support the reporting process of the credit risk reporting teams for both regular reporting processes and oversight project and initiatives.
About the role
As Technical Business Analyst and reporting to the Central Data and Project Lead you are a key member of the Central Data and Projects team and will support the health and accuracy of the team’s datasets and ensure that all business rules are accurate and impacts from strategic projects are minimised.
You’ll get to:
- Support reporting teams with the accurate and timely management of the central data sources ensuring they are suitable for the requirements and responding to ad hoc requests
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand requirements of the reports, examine, collect and report on data from multiple sources and to determine what it means and recommend ways to apply the data.
- Develop accurate Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, business process documentation, training and project communications as required by each project
- Be a primary point of contact for all formal projects, initiatives and ongoing changes for regular reporting to ensure the health and accuracy of our data.
This is a 12-month secondment and can be located at one of our corporate offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo or Sydney with a flexible hybrid model that includes a minimum of 2 days per week in the office and from mid -2025 a minimum 3 days per week in the office.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business and /or other relevant qualification preferred or years of experience in a similar role.
- High level of understanding and experience of data warehousing concepts and techniques, relational databases, SQL and business intelligence tools including SAS and Power BI
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills with the ability to make quality recommendations
- Understanding and knowledge of Credit Risk Management within banking and finance
- Strong relationship building skills to work with multiple stakeholders with the ability to advise and influence
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work across complexity and meet critical timeframe
