Business Intelligence Analyst

As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will be part of our Business Intelligence team and apply subject matter expertise to provide insights for our internal customers relating to internal business metrics as well as customer and product data.

You will use data modelling to connect various internal and external data sources and create visualisations to uncover actionable insights and answer questions around the changing trends and future needs.

The team supports a large segment of the organisation and as such is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of teams and projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and develop dashboards and visualisations that are engaging and in consideration of user experience
  • Undertake data modelling to connect various internal and external data sources
  • Implement standards and process improvements where financial and statistical deficiencies have been identified.
  • Leverage automation for solutions and promote innovation
  • Work collaboratively with other business units on solution design and analytical challenges

This is a part time (0.8) 12-month secondment position and Bendigo, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Sydney are the preferred locations.

We prioritise our people with a hybrid model that currently includes a minimum of 40% per week in a Head Office/Regional Office, increasing to 60% as of July 2025.

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing data models and data visualisations using Business Intelligence software such as Power BI, TechnologyOne, XLOne
  • Experience working in finance and a large, complex, and regulated businesses to allow you to navigate our environment easily and hit the ground running\
  • Ability to adapt analytical insight to effectively communicate findings appropriate for the audience.
  • Outcome driven, with a persistent focus on leveraging technology to drive customer and business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted and effective working relationships across the organisation.
