The Business Design & Product Ownership team is responsible for managing the current state and designing the future of business processes across the B&A division. The scope of this work is across the full customer lifecycle, from propositions to onboarding and assessment through to lifecycle management across all products and services offered by the division.
About your role:
Your role as a Functional Analyst will be to support the Product Owner – Strategic Initiatives and the wider Business Design & Product Ownership team with the various initiatives underway to deliver on our strategic ambition. You will be required to work with various stakeholders across the value chain and organisation to elicit and validate needs and requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.
A core focus of this team is to improve the value proposition for our customer and ways of working for our people to drive improvements through improvement to system, process and procedure. This will involve using your knowledge of credit risk and operational risk, process design and data analysis to design processes that meet our regulatory obligations and policy guidelines but also deliver process efficiency.
As a Functional Analyst you will get too:
- Effectively design process improvement projects, utilising process improvement tools
- Identify, manage and resolve high-impact risks and issues for each project or change initiative, contributing to investigations, business impact analysis, recommendations, and operational risk solutions
- Facilitate the identification and evaluation of business requirements through narratives, features, and stories, thereby enabling the creation of suitable solutions or outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement of business process and systems that will improve efficiency, customer experience and profitability
Critical Skills you will bring to the role:
- Strong finance industry knowledge – especially knowledge of credit processes, risk and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated technical skills in process improvement.
- Experience with or demonstrated ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to communicate complex issues and requirements to all levels of stakeholders.
- Studies in Business Analysis and/or tertiary qualifications in a business, finance, or technology related discipline is preferred.
- Business experience with analytical skills and a strong improvement mindset.
- Data analysis and visualisation skills viewed favourably.
