The Lending Performance and Enablement Team has been created to focus on elevating performance, empowering our people and ensuring quality applications where we are committed to delivering exceptional lending experiences for our Customers.

As a Lending Enablement Officer: Quality Check & Support Specialist, you are a vital link between our lending teams and the smooth operation of our loan application process. You will lead the Quality Check (QC) process, support Lenders, and make sure all applications meet Bendigo Bank's standards.

Your main tasks are to promote best practices in the QC system, solve questions quickly, and help Lenders maintain quality in their applications. This role requires good attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and clear communication to support our Lending teams in doing their best.

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:   

  • Coaching staff in the Retail Network to improve Lending skills and performance. Provide coaching, education, and quality feedback. 
  • Ensure effective customer conversations using all support tools and training on lending systems.
  • Develop and oversee training materials to improve Lenders’ knowledge of the quality control (QC) process, best practices, and how to use the system effectively.
  • Manage the central mailbox and helpdesk for Lender inquiries by responding quickly and clearly to all requests, offering solutions and guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality control (QC) process by using technology and new ideas to make it work better and more accurately.
  • Follow the Bank's risk management and compliance rules, policies/procedures by completing necessary compliance training and assessments on time.


These are Permanent positions working Full time for total 76 hours per fortnight. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 40% of your time per week in the office, increasing to 60% as of July 2025, in a local Head office or Regional office.

What you’ll bring to the role  

To succeed in this role, you’ll drive the lending growth by building strong relationships, acquiring new business and becoming the go-to lending expert in the area. We’d love you to have:    

  • Demonstrated experience in Retail lending and/or credit assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills. 
  • Experience with analysing and interpreting data to unearth actionable insights.
  • Excellent presentation abilities and the capacity to engage with front-line lending staff effectively. 
  • Strong coaching and developing skills at a leadership level.
  • FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation
  • Designated Lending Authority (DLA) - Consumer/Residential - preferred
