This is the role of our Diversity and Inclusion team where we currently have a 12-month secondment opportunity available for an Inclusion Specialist with a First Nations focus. Reporting to the Senior Manager Diversity & Inclusion you will play an integral role in leading the continued implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Connecting regularly with MOB@BEN and the RAP Working Group to ensure alignment with RAP deliverables. You’ll also contribute to other initiatives associated with our Belonging at BEN strategy through your expertise and passion in workplace inclusion.
As a passionate champion you’ll help us continue to build and strengthen respectful connections and relationships with First Nations stakeholders and communities, and with Reconciliation Australia. You’ll also re-establish our RAP Working Group and Implementation Group to ensure continued structure, governance, and accountability and work closely with those delivering on our First Nations Customer Plan.
We genuinely embrace flexibility and will consider applicants that can work full time, part time 4 days per week, or a job share arrangement for those working 3 days or less.
This role can be based in any of our office locations across Australia with a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 60% of your time per week in the office.
What you'll bring to the role
- Proven experience within the Diversity & Inclusion space or comparable relevant role
- Demonstrated commitment to improving outcomes for First Nations internally and externally
- Demonstrated capabilities in designing and delivering RAP initiatives and other inclusion initiatives within complex, highly distributed organisations or comparable experience
- Demonstrated project management experience managing multiple priorities across projects to deliver within agreed scope, time, and budget with a strong focus on governance
- Excellent consulting skills to act as a trusted advisor, motivate people, and build engagement across the organisation as well as externally
- Strong presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills
- A genuine passion, drive, and ability to articulate the very heart of what diversity and inclusion is and align outcomes to organisational strategy
