The Role

The Team Leader – Virtual Care works independently under the broad supervision of the Virtual Care Pharmacy Manager to coordinate clinical and logistical service delivery for virtual care services, including medication distribution and clinical services to inpatients and outpatients of Hospital@home, Care@Home and Hospital in the Home.

  • Operate independently in the provision of complex pharmacy activities to patients of the Tasmanian Health Service by demonstrating advanced knowledge, skills and experience relevant to pharmacy practice and provision of pharmaceutical information and providing professional advice and consultancy services to other disciplines and the public.
  • Supervise pharmacy teams under the broad delegation of the relevant pharmacy service manager, including direction of work priorities and practices; monitoring workflow; management of staff, professional supervision and development, performance appraisal and implementing programs and strategies to address identified training needs (including within an extended hours framework as appropriate). 
  • Lead, Initiate and participate in the development and monitoring of policies and standard operating procedures for clinical pharmacy services.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, shift worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible and for a period of 6 months.

Classification: Allied Health Professional, Level 4

Salary $120,114 - $130,181 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging + market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $122,908 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme 
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Current Driver’s Licence

  2. Recognition at either Registrar or Consultant level with the Australian & New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP) in a relevant discipline or relevant postgraduate qualification in pharmacy and/or management

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
