The Role

The Director of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement is responsible for:

  • The leadership and implementation of the local and integrated quality, improvement and patient safety program, consistent with the organisational needs of Hospitals South and in keeping with contemporary practice.
  • High level leadership and management of the change and improvement agenda, supporting the local management team to achieve measurable improvements in the performance of processes they are accountable for.
  • Supporting the Organisation in achieving accreditation under the national safety and quality standards.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 May 2025.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification

General Stream, Band 8

Salary

$135,408 - $144,527 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Clinical registration and/or health service management experience
  • Extensive experience managing and leading a complex team
  • Quality Improvement and/or Process Specialist certification
  • Current Driver’s Licence

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
