The Role
Located on Tasmania's North West Coast, the successful Advanced Scope Physiotherapist will:
- Lead the early intervention assessment program and coordinate case management, including supervision and direction of Allied Health members of the team; Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Pharmacist and Rehabilitation Physiotherapist.
- Provide expert clinical opinion (assessment and refer appropriately) for patients on the orthopaedic waiting list.
- Supervise and coordinate the management of rehabilitation provided by relevant physiotherapy staff for patients who are on the waiting list.
- Audit and manage Early Intervention programs across North West (NW) sites to ensure new programs are achieving expectations of Executive.
- Engage, communicate and liaise with all stakeholders e.g. referring doctors, orthopaedic team, regarding the development of early intervention programs.
- Provide strategic advice on the direction and development of the early intervention orthopaedic project.
- Provide appropriate clinical support to the Rehabilitation Physiotherapist entailing supervision and advice re: appropriate patients to commence Rehabilitation Program.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working up to 10 hours per fortnight, until March 2025.

Classification:
Salary $123,717 - $134,336 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Public Sector Union Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
