The Role

  • Provide and maintain optimal specialist physiotherapy services to Orthopaedic and General Surgery patients at Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and other associated areas within the LGH and Primary Health Services (PHS) across the Northern region of Tasmania.

  • Provide professional guidance and support to Level 1-2 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Students, Allied Health Assistants, and other support staff.

  • This team values evidence-informed care and research, as a senior working primarily in our ICU physio team, you will be working alongside Jane Lockstone, an expert in Critical Care. Based within Intensive Care Unit you will be providing clinical care and sharing your expertise and teaching to our emerging therapists across our ICU and on-call service.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term part time, shift worker position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 3 January 2026.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: 

Salary $110,425 - $121,907 pro rata per annum + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $109,964 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme (
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

  2. Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Current Driver’s Licence

  2. Australian Physiotherapy Association- Titled Physiotherapist (in relevant area)

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
