The Role
Reporting to the Team Leader - Information Management (IM) and in accordance with legislation, policy, regulations and processes, the Senior Data and Information Officer is responsible for:
- The day-to-day information management activities required for the public health response to communicable diseases in Tasmania.
- Contributing to the improvement and efficiency of data governance and collection of communicable diseases data.
- Supporting data transformation, transfer and storage activities under the supervision of the Team Leader.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 30 June 2025.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification:
Salary $81,915 - $94,263 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Postgraduate qualifications in public health or health system management
- Experience in the management of health or surveillance data.
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
