The Role

Working within the Office of the Chief Information Officer, the Business Consultant is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing robust financial and resource management strategies and procedures, driving proactive monitoring and reporting to facilitate strategic decisions and oversight of the Health ICT budget.
  • Employing comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in collaboration with the Department’s Finance and Business Support area. This includes maintaining current financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Collaborating closely with senior management to establish and meet budget goals, supporting effective financial governance across Health ICT.

You will need:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing robust financial and resource management strategies and procedures, effectively monitoring, analysing and reporting on significant program budgets to meet strategic financial goals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with demonstrated ability to provide senior stakeholders with timely and accurate information, and collaborate across business areas to foster effective communication channels.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 4 August 2025 for a period of approximately twelve (12) months. 

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: General Stream, Band 6

Salary $107,899 - $122,292 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
