The Role

The Director - Clinical Systems leads and directs Ambulance Tasmania Clinical Services staff and resources to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of clinical systems for frontline roles, maintaining a highly skilled and adaptable workforce capable of delivering high quality safe care to consumers.

The position is a senior leader reporting to the Executive Director, Clinical Services and is required to cultivate a culture of clinical excellence in Ambulance Tasmania enhancing the capability of all staff in the performance of their role ensuring high standards of clinical quality and patient safety.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible for a period of 6 months.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: 

Salary $178,112 per annum + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia
  2. Holds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science or other qualification approved by the Service, relevant work experience and an additional qualification in management or equivalent.
  3. Current Driver’s Licence
  4. Current Working with Children Registration

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Qualification and/or experience in leading high-performance teams.
  2. Post graduate qualification in health leadership and/ or paramedicine.
  3. Experience in strategic health roles within large complex organisations
  4. Relevant experience working in areas of governance, quality, safety accreditation and clinical systems

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
