The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Director – Acute Medicine and Critical Care Services to join our team on the North West Coast.

The Nursing Director – Acute Medicine and Critical Care Services:

  • Provides effective leadership and management in order to achieve the defined objectives of the clinical services within the Critical Care and Acute Medical Departments.
  • As a member of the Local Executive Management Team, provides a high level of strategic leadership and direction, ensuring resources are efficiently utilised and services are effectively integrated within the Hospital.
  • Develops and manages integrated models of care across clinical service delivery streams to optimise safe and quality clinical outcomes.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 10 August 2025 until 14 November 2025.

*Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: 

Salary $144,146 per annum  + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Holds, or is working towards, a postgraduate tertiary qualification relevant to the position.

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
