The Role:

In collaboration with the Research Nurse - Clinical Trials Facilitator, assist with the delivery and coordination of Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine (DAPM) research projects that contribute to the strategic objectives of the Department, utilising highly developed understanding of clinical research.

Facilitate and engage in robust research activities that contribute to DAPM policy or projects.

  • A broad and demonstrated understanding of the current healthcare system and knowledge of national and international trends relating to multicentre trial research.
  • High level analytical, conceptual, strategic, research and creative skills with the ability to apply these to the health care environment and the capacity to undertake quality improvement and research activities and initiate/implement/advocate change in the practice setting.

Details of Appointment:

Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 14 February 2026.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 5

Salary $106,570 - $112,440 per annum pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Completion of Good Clinical Practice Training
  • Experience in anaesthetic nursing

  • Experience/understanding of ethics and governance processes

  • Flexibility of working days/hours depending on trial recruitment

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
