The Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Rapid Access Service (RAS):
- Acts as a consultant, in collaboration with the Older Persons Consultant Psychiatrist and Team Leader - Adult and Older Persons Community Mental Health Services to provide clinical leadership, supervision, guidance, coordination and support to the RAS multidisciplinary clinical team providing direct care and virtual care to clients in the specified RAS catchment areas.
- Promotes integration and coordination of health care services, including the development and implementation of strategies that enhance efficient and effective delivery of client care, including assessment, triage and follow up review, based on clinical standards and chronic disease best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
- Facilitates and supports the establishment and maintenance of a healthy and positive culture, supporting and coordinating complex clinical care, education, and day to day case coordination with, Residential Aged Care Facilities, primary health care, intermediate care services and acute care clinical teams.
- Assists the Team Leader in managing the human, physical and financial resources of the RAS, including setting and aiming to meet Key Performance Indicators, performance development appraisals, recruitment, maintaining unit budgets, project management and planning, staff education and development.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible for a period of approximately seven (7) months.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification: Registered Nurse, Grade 6
Salary $114,851 - $121,886 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Relevant postgraduate qualifications

Previous experience in a leadership role, including working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
