The Role

LGH physiotherapy department would like to invite expressions of interest to fulfil the Senior Physiotherapist – Surgical Shift Worker position.

This position would see a team member providing care within the Surgical Wards as a Senior Physiotherapist. You will be working alongside other Senior (shift working) and Junior (day working) Physiotherapists and other multidisciplinary team members within the Surgical Wards of the LGH (5A, 5B, SSSU). This role is a day working shift pattern involving weekend work.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term part time, shift worker position, working 36 hours per fortnight, commencing 12 January 2026 until 08 August 2026.
Work pattern will focus on supporting weekday service provision with a 1-2 monthly weekend option. Work hours and shift pattern to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Classification:
Salary $110,425 - $121,907 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Australian Physiotherapy Association- Titled Physiotherapist (in relevant area)
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
