The Role
- Provide expert contemporary clinical advice and leadership in acute general surgical nursing within the unit and across the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).
- Support and promote an environment that fosters teaching, quality improvement, risk mitigation and research activities within an acute surgical nursing environment.
- Coordinate the care provided to patients according to individual needs and in line with legal requirements.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 February 2026 until 30 January 2027
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification: Registered Nurse, Grade 6
Salary $114,851 - $121,886 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Has, or is working towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
