The Role
Within the Agency Framework, and in accordance with Agency policies and procedures, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible, within the defined scope of practice, for high level clinical leadership in the development, provision and evaluation of community and acute, sub-Acute and non acute patient care at New Norfolk District Hospital (NNDH) that ensures optimal patient/client/family and community outcomes.
The NP draws upon their professional competencies to improve clinical service outcomes through effective research and quality improvement activities, and will actively participate statewide and nationally, in acute, sub-acute and community research, publication and education.
The NP is responsible as a leader, advisor and mentor for other nurses and clinicians to ensure high level clinical excellence in Sub-Acute, Aged and Community Services.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from 27 April 2026 until 1 June 2026.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification: Registered Nurse, Grade 8, Level 3
Salary $148,470 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and endorsed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
