The Role

As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality alcohol and other drug services in accordance with the Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide high level support to the Team Leader South within the Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) North West in the provision of:

  • Professional and clinical leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community alcohol and other drug service.
  • As directed by the Team Leader North West, effective management of specified human and physical resources.
  • Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the implementation of the ADS’s models of care and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible for a period of up to three (3) months.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification

Registered Nurse, Grade 6

Salary

$118,297 - $125,543 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwifes (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Minimum of 5 years full time equivalent post graduate experience in the area of specialist Alcohol and Drug services Holds or is working towards tertiary qualification in the Alcohol and/or Other Drugs (AOD) field Holds or working toward tertiary qualification in the Mental Health field

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
