The Role
- Provide high level advice and support to the Nursing Director on issues relating to the provision of medical services in Primary Health North (PHN).
- Provide a high level of strategic medical leadership and direction including ensuring effective provision of evidence based, efficient inpatient, community and outpatient clinical care to patients of PHN.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker, position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 21 June 2026.

Salary
Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $300,216 - $310,389 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award
- Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
- Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
- Current Driver’s Licence
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Associate Fellow Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (AFRACMA) or
Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or
Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or
Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
