The Role

This important role will see you working within the Sub-acute Inpatient Rehabilitation team at John L Grove and collaborating closely with the Neuro-Rehabilitation team led by John Cannell. You will be looked toward to provide tailored, goals-based care, helping them to resume and maintain meaningful lives outside of hospital, within the communities that they love. As an Allied Health group, we are dedicated to the development of our people and will work to help you to achieve your goals.

  • Assess, plan and implement treatment programs for rehabilitation patients requiring physiotherapy.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support for Level 1-2 Physiotherapists, physiotherapy students, Allied Health Assistants, other team members and work experience students.
  • Work as an effective member of multidisciplinary teams in achieving client-focused outcomes and in achieving the aims and objectives of the sub-acute service.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 27 July 2026 until 23 July 2027. 

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification

Allied Health Professional, Level 3

Salary

$117,272 - $126,182 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2025

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  2. Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Current Driver’s Licence
  2. Australian Physiotherapy Association- Titled Physiotherapist (in relevant area)

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
